Motorcycle Training
Essentials & Intermediate Adventure/Dual-Sport Motorcycle Training by motowayz
Typical Course Overview
This three day event is developed for new adventure / dual-sport motorcycle riders with little or no experience riding off-pavement. Participants will be limited to 8 riders, delivering the most personalized instruction. The first two days will be conducted in controlled, close course training. Day 1 curriculum with be conducted with Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s Dirt Bike School. Day 2 be conducted with curriculum developed by motowayz based upon industry best practices. Day 3 will be an opportunity reward yourself and apply what you’ve learned on a day long, guided practical adventure ride with your coach where you can apply your new skills and receive on-going coaching while “in the elements”. Treat yourself and travel some of the most interesting, scenic forest service roads with spectacular views, waterfalls, water crossings and mixed terrain.
Experienced pavement riders will find this course very enlightening as they will learn that the skills needed for riding properly off-pavement can significantly differ from riding high traction pavement. The motowayz approach provides the unique opportunity to apply what you have learned in the field on a guided day ride and training experience which few other training companies provide. Our goal for this course is to prepare students to develop the skills and confidence to enjoy the benefits and freedom to begin their own excursions into the wilderness.
This course is designed under our philosophy to leverage your new skills and are delivered in a “No Judgment Zone” environment. motowayz riders have fun learning without peer pressure or the need to impress anyone. We help riders master new skills, take on new challenges and expand their comfort zone when ready. But most importantly, riders are never forced to try something where they might be overly uncomfortable doing.
Our goal is for motowayz riders to be trained to ride safely to reduce risks, ride effectively to enable riders to apply appropriate skills to unique challenges and ride efficiently to preserve energy. We are here to help provide a foundation to you for an exciting future in adventure motorcycle travels to remote and exotic locations.

motowayz is subject to a variety of expenses (i.e. lease of training locations, travel, staffing and so forth) which we need to mitigate to help provide affordable professional training.
The required deposit of motowayz ADV/Dual-Sport Training is $500. motowayz training camps are kept to intimate sizes to provide personalized training and are typically sold out in advance. Last minute cancellations can be difficult to backfill. If you need to cancel or “reschedule” we request you do so as early as possible and the following policy applies:
Cancellation Before Scheduled Date:
Amount
90+ Days Before Event Full Refund
89 Days to 60 Days Before Scheduled Start of Event $250
59 Days to 45 Days Before Scheduled Start of Event $350
44 Days Before Scheduled Start of Event No Refund
Cancellation Due to Inclement Weather/Conditions
It is our goal to minimize opportunities for class cancellation as many riders make advanced arrangements for time off, travel, bike prep and so forth to attend training. Further, we welcome training in reasonable “natural” conditions where the weather may be transiently inclement to help our riders prepare for “real-life” conditions. However, there can be an occasional time when the anticipated weather over the duration of the training event is non-stop rain. In those circumstances, we have found training to be significantly less productive and simply not as much fun. In this case, it is inconvenient for all. We will provide notice of postponement typically 3 days in advance of the event. In the event of weather-related postponement, it is our policy not to issue refunds but a postponement credit. The postponement “credit” or raincheck can be applied to any future training class.
